Sign up for a First Time Climber Clinic today!\n\n(Disclaimer: The First Time Climbers Clinic is NOT required to climb at the Climbing Tower.)\n\nClinic Dates:\n\n  * Friday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m.\n  * Friday, March 6, at 2 p.m.\n  * Friday, April 3, at 2 p.m.\n\n\n\nCost: FREE for current UCF students and Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC) members (with an active membership).\n\nRegistration: \n\n  * In the UCF RWC app or through the [UCF RWC Membership Portal website](https://ucfrwc.org/Program/GetProducts?classification=7e94c055-5e69-4046-8e3d-96909ff99f22&category=ea528aa9-f493-4efb-b769-b1e686780cb3)\n  * At the RWC Climbing Tower front desk during normal business hours. Students can take the stairs or elevators to the first floor and go left. The desk is behind the stairs in the northeast corner of the main building.\n\n\n\nRegistration opens two weeks before the clinic date.\n\nWalk-ins are welcome; however, the clinic is first-come, first-served, with a limit of 16 people per session. Participants arriving more than five minutes after the start will not be allowed to join.\n\nDescription:\n\nThe First Time Climbers Clinic is a session geared towards those who have never participated in rock climbing. Participants will meet at the UCF Climbing Tower with one of our instructors and learn the climbing basics needed to start climbing. During this session, participants will learn climbing-specific vocabulary and definitions; the difference between bouldering and top roping; the basics of completing a route and reaching the top of the wall; and UCF Climbing Tower-specific policies.\n\nThis clinic is held on select Fridays.
