Join the College of Education and Human Performance and The Lou Frey Institute for a dialogue among peer counterparts and thought leaders who are eager to strengthen education and better understand the community that we serve during the Central Florida Urban Education Summit.

The free, one-day summit is open to the public and provides a dynamic platform for bringing together educators in and out of the classroom to support student success, with a focus on PK-20 Students, the Community, and a Commitment to Serving.

Attendees have an opportunity to hear from renowned policy expert David Johns, formerly of the White House and Teachers College, Columbia University while discussing the trends and emergent changes in urban education.

The event includes sessions that examine instructional best practices, school system and administrative best practices in urban education settings, a non-profit framework for supporting student success, educational partners in Florida municipalities, innovation in university and public school partnerships, and robust research trends/empirical investigations concerning high-need student populations.

Breakfast and lunch are included during the summit. For more information please contact Dr. Amanda Wilkerson,
