The Challenge of Peace Building

Prof. George Lopez of the University of Notre Dame will be delivering a lecture on "The Challenge of Peace Building." Lopez, who occupies the Hesburgh Chair in Peace Studies at Notre Dame, is an expert on the use of economic sanctions internationally and has advised the United Nations on this matter. His talk is sponsored by the UCF Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the Global Perspectives Office, and the Global Connections Foundation with the generous support of the the Notre Dame Club of Greater Orlando and the ND Alumni Association’s Hesburgh Lecture Series. Dr. Lopez serves on the advisory board of the new Ph.D. program in Security Studies, which the UCF Department of Political Science will be starting in Fall 2013. Read More
