DESCRIPTION:This session will explore examples of strong Specific Aims pages to help demonstrate best practices in developing an impactful Specific Aims page. A brief overview of the NIH review process, pros and cons of communicating with NIH program manager before proposal submission, discussion of budget, developing the evaluation/assessment plan, common mistakes to avoid, potential limitations researchers will encounter, and best practices for winning an NIH award will also be discussed.\n\nSpeakers: Nichole Lighthall, Associate Professor, UCF Department of Psychology and Interim Associate Dean for Research, College of Sciences, and Helen Huang, Associate Professor, UCF Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering\n\nParticipation in this event is limited to members of the current GWA cohort.
