DESCRIPTION:Discover how Keller's ARCS Model of Motivational Design can strengthen student engagement in online courses. This workshop explores the four components--Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction--and demonstrates how they can be intentionally incorporated into Canvas modules. Participants will evaluate one of their own modules and identify practical, evidence-based strategies to improve student motivation and persistence.  \n  \nIn this workshop, you'll learn to:   \n\n\n  * explain the four components of Keller's ARCS Model and their relationship to student motivation in online learning.\n\n  * identify motivational strengths and barriers within an existing Canvas learning module.\n\n  * apply one evidence-based motivational design strategy to improve student engagement, persistence, or satisfaction within a course module.\n\n\n\n\nThis workshop is limited to faculty, staff and GTA's only. \nRegistration Link: https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule/38ac1755/?appointmentTypeIds[]=96340570
