This course is available for students who are currently enrolled and taking classes at UCF.\u003Cspan\u003E\u0026nbsp\u003B\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cem\u003EWe are currently working on adding access to our certifications for RWC Members, UCF Faculty and Staff, and Valencia students.\u003C/em\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003EUpon successful completion of this course and check\u002Dout dives, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. No previous SCUBA experience is required\u003B however, basic swimming skills are necessary to complete the course.\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ECost\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr\u003EThe total cost of the certification is $400 with $60 due at the time of registration. The rest of the price is due the first weekend of the certification paid to Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures.\u003Cspan\u003E\u0026nbsp\u003B\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cem\u003EIf you pay with card there is an extra $5 charge for fees making the total $405.\u0026nbsp\u003B\u003C/em\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESchedule\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003ETo receive the SCUBA certification,\u003Cspan\u003E\u0026nbsp\u003B\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003Eyou must complete two consecutive weekends of training\u003C/strong\u003E.\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003EAll itinerary times can be changed by the instructor as needed. Here is the general itinerary:\u003C/p\u003E\u000A\u003Cul\u003E\u000A\u003Cli\u003EFriday \u0026ndash\u003B 5:30pm\u002D9:00pm in the RWC Wet Classroom\u003C/li\u003E\u000A\u003Cli\u003ESaturday \u0026ndash\u003B 8:30\u002D4:00pm in the RWC Lap Pool\u003C/li\u003E\u000A\u003Cli\u003ESunday \u0026ndash\u003B All day check out dive at a local dive destination\u003C/li\u003E\u000A\u003Cli\u003EFollowing Weekend (Sat or Sun) \u0026ndash\u003B All day check out dive at a local dive destination\u003C/li\u003E\u000A\u003C/ul\u003E\u000A\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ERegistration \u0026amp\u003B Refund Policies\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr\u003EThe registration deadline for each course is the Wednesday before the first weekend. Participants may request a refund for their deposit, or to be transferred to another certification month, until the Outdoor Adventure Center closes on that day. No refunds or transfers will be given after the registration deadline, regardless of the reason. Participants are allowed up to 1 free transfer\u003B after that, the participant must pay another deposit. Failure to be on time for class sessions, pool sessions, and/or dives may result in complete forfeiture of all payments.
