DESCRIPTION:Writers in the Sun Reading with Jaquira Diaz\n\nJoin Writers in the Sun for a reading with UCF alum Jaquira Diaz, author of the award-winning memoir Ordinary Girls and the upcoming paperback edition of her novel This Is the Only Kingdom.\n\nOrdinary Girls received a Florida Book Prize, and Diaz's work explores themes of identity, family, place and belonging. During her visit, Diaz will also be interviewed for the Writers in the Sun podcast.\n\nThe reading is co-sponsored by Women's and Gender Studies, CHDR, the Puerto Rico Research Hub and the Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies Program.
