Join Writers in the Sun for a reading with UCF alum Jaquira Díaz, author of the award-winning memoir Ordinary Girls and the upcoming paperback edition of her novel This Is the Only Kingdom.

Ordinary Girls received a Florida Book Prize, and Díaz’s work explores themes of identity, family, place and belonging. During her visit, Díaz will also be interviewed for the Writers in the Sun podcast.

The reading is co-sponsored by Women’s and Gender Studies, CHDR, the Puerto Rico Research Hub and the Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies Program.
