	"description": "\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EDigital tools offer new possibilities for literacy learning, but meaningful technology integration requires more than simply adding a device, platform or application to instruction. In this research\u002Dto\u002Dpractice session, participants will explore four strategic considerations for making intentional decisions about technology in literacy learning: connecting digital technology to instructional goals, adding tools strategically, building on students\u0026rsquo\u003B existing knowledge and allowing them to lead, and designing open\u002Dended, multimodal learning opportunities. Drawing on research and classroom examples, the session will examine how educators can develop the capacity to make purposeful, context\u002Dresponsive technology choices that support authentic reading, writing, speaking, listening and meaning\u002Dmaking.
