Wednesday, October 4, 2017 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The purpose of this interactive session is to provide Department Chairs and their teams (up to 3 faculty such as those serving as Associate Chair, Undergraduate Coordinator, or Graduate Coordinator) with strategies and examples for completing each component of the Departmental Strategic Planning Template.

This template can be used by departments to help leverage their unique strengths and distinctive assets to create new strategic action plans, revise an existing plan, or align work they are already doing to Collective Impact (if they choose not to have a formal departmental plan). This will maximize contributions to achieving College Challenge 2020 goals and other metrics in the Collective Impact Strategic Plan.

The departments will be asked to complete pre-work to best utilize their time during the session and gain insights and ideas from their peers.

Speaker: Dr. Lisa Guion Jones, Associate Provost for Strategy and Special Assistant to the President, Professor of Higher Education, International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame member
