In response to coronavirus and to help minimize its spread, many UCF events are being canceled.

If you have questions about what’s still open around campus, please check out this regularly updated guide.

Tuesday, October 17, 2017 noon to 1 p.m.

Pronouns are everywhere! We use them every day in speech and in writing to take the place of people’s names. We use them without even thinking about it, but have you ever tried speaking without using any pronouns? When someone is referred to with the wrong pronoun, it can make them feel disrespected, invalidated, dismissed, alienated, and dysphoric. Join SJA as we engage in a conversation on the importance you using pronouns to contribute to the UCF community of respect!

Remember that no matter your gender identity, gender can be very important to someone’s sense of self. The concept of gender is evolving and so are gender identities.
