Africana Studies program at UCF presents the James Weldon Johnson Lecture Series

Karen Adamopoulos presents From Yesterday to Tomorrow

This lecture addresses the impact of the contributions in racial uplift and unification made by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, Mr. A. Philip Randolph and how their examples influence today’s successors. The recently chartered branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History Central Florida intends to meet the challenge of building sturdy foundations for the next day. 

As Founding President of Association for the Study of African American Life and History Central FL, INC: Dorothy Turner Johnson Branch, Karen Adamopoulos is a native of Indianapolis, IN and proud alumni of Crispus Attucks High School. She earned a B.A. in Humanities and a M.A. from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL. Post Graduate Studies in Anthropology at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Her career experience includes the corporate sector, education and the arts.
