Puerto Rico and Hurricane Maria" A Student Discussion Event

Thursday, November 2, 2017 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Gov. Scott has announced that more than 27,000 Puerto Ricans have left the island and moved to the state of Florida since Hurricane Maria. The School of Social Work invites students to a discussion on the effects and impact of Hurricane Maria on Puerto Rico and the Orlando community. Faculty and students will confer regarding issues of support and engagement for these new residents.
