Grammy Award-winning jazz keyboardist Bob James joins WUCF’s 89.9 for “Live from Studio A” on Monday, February 19.

With over 58 albums and innumerable awards throughout his five-decade career, James will perform live from the WUCF studios on the campus of the University of Central Florida.

Bob James was first discovered by Quincy Jones at the Notre Dame Jazz Festival in 1963, and since then has worked with musical legends, and is even credited with contributing to the formation of hip-hop.

“Live from Studio A” is a monthly production of WUCF 89.9, bringing in top jazz talent from around the world to perform live to listeners across Central Florida as part of the station’s mission serving as Orlando’s jazz soundtrack.

The Bob James performance will be broadcast live on 89.9 on Monday, Feb. 19 from Noon to 1pm and will re-air on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7 pm.
