Dr. Jenna Jambeck: Plastic Waste Inputs from Land into the Ocean

Dr. Jambeck, an Associate Professor in the College of Engineering at the University of Georgia, has been internationally recognized for her research on solid waste issues and marine debris. Having earned numerous awards for both her teaching prowess and her research, Dr. Jambeck is an active proponent of women in STEM disciplines. She even co-developed a Marine Debris Tracker app that helped collect 1 million pieces of litter and debris worldwide!
