Community Service Project: Jacksonville Humane Society Dog-Walking Event

Sunday, April 29, 2018 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Jacksonville UCF Alumni Club invites alumni and friends to make a dog's day by taking the Jacksonville Humane Society's furry residents for a walk! This community service project is a chance to give back to our local community with fellow Knights, while helping the pups stretch their legs and enjoy some much-needed TLC.

Jacksonville Humane Society Rules: Volunteers MUST be at least 18 years of age or older (sorry, can't bring the kids to this one). All volunteers must be able to volunteer independently, exercise sound judgment, stand, walk, bend, and crouch unassisted. Volunteers should also be able to manipulate 50-60 lbs.

You must register to participate in this event. No unregistered attendees will be permitted to volunteer. We have room for 12 volunteers. Once the maximum number of volunteers is reached, registration will close.

On the day of the event, meet your UCF Alumni Club Chair, Becky Koziuk, at 9:45 a.m. to check in. There will be a quick orientation with a staff member and then we will get to walk the dogs!

The Jacksonville UCF Alumni Club will provide water for all volunteers. After we complete our shift, those interested can meet nearby for a late lunch.

We hope you'll join us for this fun and rewarding event!
