UCF will recognize World Voice Day on Monday, April 16, with an event titled "Vocal Wellness for the Performing Artist" in the UCF Performing Arts Center, Studio 2, Room T110.
The event will include a Vocal Health Fair at 4:30 p.m. and a Master Class from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Participants will hear an interactive demonstration and a panel discussion on voice care among ENT physicians, speech pathologists, singing voice specialists and acting coaches. Topics will include vocal health, physiology of the voice and prevention of vocal injury.
The event is sponsored by the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and the School of Performing Arts at UCF, along with The Ear, Nose, Throat and Plastic Surgery Associates.
