Outdoor Adventure is proud to partner with Ranger Rick's SCUBA Adventure, one of the most experienced SCUBA DIVE outfitters in Central Florida, for our entry level SCUBA certification course. This course is only offered to UCF students, faculty, and members of the Recreation and Wellness Center.
In our entry level SCUBA certification course, you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safely SCUBA dive in open water to a maximum depth of 60 feet. The format of this class is one classroom session, two pool session, and on four spring dive (S) or ocean dive (S) (minimum of 80 minutes in an open water environment). The cost of the 3-day course is $275. The items included in the cost are: instruction, classroom materials, dives, certification card and scuba gear. Transportation is not included.
A SCUBA-quality mask, snorkel, wetsuit, fins, and SCUBA booties are the student's responsibility to bring to all dive sessions. These pieces can be borrowed through the Outdoor Adventure Center as part of the course fee. The OAC is located in the downstairs of the RWC across from the lap pool. This equipment is subject to availability. All other equipment and materials are provided by Ranger Rick SCUBA Adventures (www.rangerrickscuba.com).
