Art History Lecture Series: Art as an Endangered Species
Presented by: Dr. Margaret Ann Zaho

Daily there are reports of the theft of art objects and destruction of cultural heritage sites. Popular movies such as Rape of Europa have brought attention to the subject, but cultural property crime is not a new phenomenon. This lecture discusses issues of cultural patrimony and hegemony and the historical susceptibility of art to loss due to war, terrorism, and neglect.

Please RSVP to attend.

Sponsored by an Association of American Colleges and Universities Endeavor Foundation Grant
