Dr. Singell is executive dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and a professor of economics at Indiana University Bloomington. Dr. Singell oversees one of the largest liberal arts colleges in the country, with more than 70 degree-granting departments and programs spanning the humanities, sciences and social sciences. Dr. Singell previously was a faculty member at the University of Oregon, where he served as associate dean in the College of Arts and Sciences from 2008 to 2011 and as head of the Department of Economics from 2006 to 2008.
He earned doctoral and master’s degrees in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.
