DESCRIPTION:Exceptional online teaching deserves recognition. This workshop will help faculty move beyond describing what they do to showcasing the impact of their teaching in award submissions. Hear from Dziuban Award committee members and past recipients about crafting a compelling instructor narrative and using evidence of student engagement, learning and student feedback to strengthen your teaching story.\n\nIn this workshop, you'll learn how to: \n\n  * Identify the characteristics of a strong Dziuban Award submission and instructor narrative.\n  * Demonstrate exemplary online teaching through specific evidence and examples.\n  * Connect evidence of student engagement, learning gains and student satisfaction to their teaching practices.\n  * Develop strategies for strengthening award submission materials.\n\n\n\nParticipants will leave with a clearer understanding of what the Dziuban Award committee looks for when evaluating submissions and how to effectively communicate the impact of their online teaching. They'll gain practical strategies for selecting meaningful evidence, highlighting effective instructional practices and developing a compelling narrative that showcases excellence in online teaching.
