The 6th Annual UCF Counseling Conference

The UCF Counseling Conference aims to support all counselors in the community of central Florida through relevant and innovative professional development sessions with the goal of inspiring and empowering their work with clients and students. Presentations are delivered by a diverse set of practitioners, graduate students, and university faculty,which enables a range of topics and issues that address the current needs of counseling practitioners.

This year’s Heintzelman Lecturer is Dr. Mick Cooper from the School of Psychological Sciences and Health, University of Strathclyde, Glascow, Scotland. His lecture is titled, Counseling and Psychotherapy Research Findings: What We Know and Where We’re Going.

The UCF Counseling Conference in supported through the works of the Toni Jennings Exceptional Education Institute, the Heintzelman Altruism Endowment, and the UCF Counselor Education program.

Additional Public Info: The conference takes place in two buildings on UCF’s Main Campus. The address for the main campus is 4000 Central Florida Blvd. Orlando, Florida, 32816.
The Teaching Academy (TA) houses the majority of the content sessions and poster sessions.
The second building houses the keynote presentation and is called the Morgridge International Reading Center (MIRC), located next door to the TA.
