SEM Boot Camp

UCF's Rosen College of Hospitality Management is hosting an SEM boot camp for faculty members as well as master’s and Ph.D. students from July 9-11 at Rosen College. The Drill Sergeant is Dr. James Gaskin, assistant professor in Information Systems at Brigham Young University. Dr. Gaskin has taught advanced multivariate statistics for academic research focusing on structural equation modeling at several institutions and will cover several topics that UCF faculty and students expressed interest in learning, including:

- Factor Analysis (EFA and CFA) - Validity, reliability, adequacy, common method bias, measurement invariance, model fit

- Causal modeling with SEM - Multi-group moderation, interaction (moderation), mediation, control variables, model fit

- Cluster analysis - TwoStep, k-means and discriminant

The cost of this event is $500, which includes lunch and refreshments for three days. Rosen College students can attend for free. Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the camp.
