On September 4, we’ll have an excellent speaker at COM
whose subject will be of interest to faculty and students from all areas of the
college. Dr. Jeffrey D. Karpicke, the James V. Bradley associate
professor at Purdue University’s Department of Psychological Services, will
speak on
“Retrieval-Based Learning: Active Retrieval Promotes Meaningful
Learning.” Dr. Karpicke will speak at noon in the medical education building’s
Lewis Auditorium. All are invited to attend.
