Race, discrimination, privilege, and fairness are all important issues in communities, schools, and workplaces. These issues are real and must be dealt with…openly and candidly. The Exchange was created to convene conversations about things that would create a “positive restlessness” within the college, on campus and perhaps in our community.Join UCF College of Business Dean Paul Jarley, Keith Lee, Chief Operating Officer of the National Consortium of Academics and Sports, and Ericka Dunlap, UCF Class of 2005, Communications Consultant, and the 2004 Miss America, for a conversation regarding these important issues. Key points of the program include:
  1. The social and economic issues of diversity and race – how does this affect us at UCF and what should we be prepared for in our professional lives?
  2. Leadership…how must a leader engage in fostering solutions…where did it go wrong in Missouri and how can we avoid those mistakes?
  3. The impact of sports and business on the issue…had the entire football team not taken the steps it did, what would we be watching now?
  4. How does privilege impact opportunity, and how can you help better engage in the conversation?
