UCF Arboretum Harvest Feast

Thursday, December 3, 2015 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
You are invited to join us for our 5th Annual Fall Harvest Feast Celebration. This is a two day event with the aim of increasing community cohesion, education, nutrition, and appreciation. The first day, Thursday-Dec 3rd, is a day of harvest, where you collect one or two ingredients from the garden, and take it home. The following day, Friday-Dec 4th, you return with your cooked dish and we eat together at 12:00 pm. Following the meal, prizes such as water bottles, T-shirts, plants, and certificates will be awarded to our volunteers for all of their hard work this Fall season.

If you need some ideas for your dish join us the day before for a cooking demonstration conducted by Natalie D’Azzo, from Wellness and Health Promotion Services. She will be creating a dish using several ingredients from our Organic Community Garden.

Ingredients will be available for pick up from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dececmber 3rd, in the Arboretum office, trailer 525, behind the Harris Corporation Engineering Center and College of Optics and Photonics buildings. Please bring your covered dish for a potluck-style feast on Friday December 4th at 12pm. Please RSVP to arboretum@ucf.edu, and let us know what you plan on making and to confirm attendance.
