About the speaker:
Previously, Bill was the Vice President of Strategic Space Initiatives for Lockheed Martin and prior to that Bill served as the Director of NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) and served in other key positions including the Deputy Director of KSC, the Director of NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, the Shuttle Program Manager for Return to Flight after the Columbia tragedy and the Deputy Director of the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center.
Parsons has received numerous honors including the Presidential Rank Award (Meritorious Executive); NASA’s Exceptional Service Medal and Distinguished Service Medal; the National Intelligence Medal of Achievement; the Silver Snoopy and has been recognized by UCF's College of Engineering and Computer Science.
