Constantine (“Dean”) Caravelis is the Principal and Chief Marketing Officer for Blezoo LLC, an Orlando-based promotional marketing company. In this capacity, he is responsible for business development and strategic marketing to set his company apart within a heavily saturated industry. Dean founded Blezoo in February of 2008 at the height of the recession. While the global economy was in a free-fall, Blezoo was born to provide innovative promotional products & branded apparel that are “Outside the Box. Inside the Budget.” With Dean’s leadership & creativity, Blezoo has grown over 40% in sales year over year for each of the past 6 years. The company’s portfolio stretches across dozens of industries and includes Fortune 500 companies, professional sports teams and prominent Florida-based brands. Most importantly, Blezoo is proudly an official collegiate licensee of the University of Central Florida.
Prior to founding Blezoo, Mr. Caravelis was the Chief Marketing Officer for Silver Moon Creations, a leading fashion wholesaler. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of direct marketing, licensing, trade shows, and e-marketing for its North American & Asian offices.
Throughout his career, Dean has committed to providing the best customer experience possible. He consistently puts himself in his client’s shoes and finds innovative ways to differentiate his customer’s brand and create campaigns that stand out from the “been there done that” status quo.
Mr. Caravelis graduated from UCF with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a Marketing Major in 2002 and a Master’s in Business Administration in 2003.
Dean has remained very engaged with the UCF community and most notably received the Jefferson Award for Volunteer of the Year in 2013. His involvement has included the UCF Fund committee, UCF Alumni Association Board of Directors, UCF College of Business Administration Alumni Chapter Board, and he also has served on advisory committees that are helping to shape the university. Dean is a consistent volunteer for UCF mentorship programs and a regular class speaker on campus. Additionally, Dean is on the Board of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Central Florida Chapter, and maintains ties with several local non-profits where he works to help make an impact in the community.
Dean is married to Marissa Caravelis and they reside in the Orlando neighborhood of College Park where Blezoo is also headquartered.
