Voices of Diversity Health Professions Student Panel

On behalf of the SDES TRiO Center and Academic Advancement Programs, it is our pleasure to invite all interested students to attend the Voices of Diversity Health Professions Student Panel.

 This panel highlights outstanding UCF students and alumni who are currently attending professional school:

Sara Bolivar Wagers is a fellow at the National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She will begin her MD/Ph.D. training this summer. Sara graduated from UCF in 2014 with her BS in Molecular Biology and Microbiology.

Pascale Nelson is currently pursuing her masters in BioScience with a concentration in clinical and regulatory affairs at the Keck Graduate Institute. She currently works on a project with the US Navy Research Medical Center. She also works for a medical device company known as Staar Surgical. Pascale graduated from UCF in 2014 with her BS in Biotechnology.

Elena Rodriguez is a student in UCF Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Elena serves as the Student Physical Therapy Association-Class of 2017 President.

Panelists will discuss the professional school application process, share their experience in professional school, and provide insight and advice to UCF students considering a career in health and medicine.

Voices of Diversity is funded through the Parent and Family Fund. This program is co-sponsored by Multicultural Academic and Support Services, Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising, and Career Services.
