Courageous Conversations: Racism and Reality

Wednesday, April 13, 2016 7 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.

Courageous Conversations is a collaborative speaker series that examines current events and policies in our nation that directly impact our community. This month we will be examining “Racism and Reality: The Changing American Landscape.”

Join us as highly trained facilitators guide university community members, public safety officials, and local community members through civil discussion to address current issues on race and the prevailing social and political climate in the nation as it affects people of color, focusing on areas that need continued relief, such as employment, wealth and health disparities, housing issues, and the achievement gap in education.

The discussion will also focus on the impact these issues have on the criminal justice system.

For more information, please see the event flyer.
