Speaker: Ayesha Benjamin, PMP, ITILFIT

Business Analyst Sr, ISO: Identity and Access Management

Ayesha graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in Advertising; however, she never went into the advertising industry. After graduation, she worked with SunGard Public Sector -- a software development company as a Business Analyst. It was then that she found her passion with analyzing and information technology. She has since worked for local government and now with UCF on their ISO team in their Computer Services & Telecommunications department here on campus. She has over seven years of project management experience in the IT field. After obtaining her PMP certification last September after taking the PMP boot camp class over at UCF Continuing Education, she decided that she didn’t want to be a titled project manager. Being a Business Analyst with the PM knowledge and experience places her in a hybrid position in IT. She is technically skilled to communicate with their functionals, have the business taxonomy to soundly communicate with senior staff about IT Strategy here at UCF, and the project management skills to effectively see projects through from beginning to end. All of the above also aids her in communicating with such companies as Microsoft or Amazon who utilizes the PMI standards for many of their projects.
