Stuck in Traffic: An Insider’s View of the Failed Turkish Coup

The Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Program (at the UCF College of Sciences) is hosting an event entitled Stuck in Traffic: An Insider’s View of the Failed Turkish Coup, on September 20, 2016 from 3:15pm-4:15pm at the new Global UCF Building, room 101A & 101B, featuring Dr. Hakan Özoğlu. 

 

The most recent attempted coup in Turkey took place on the night of July 15, 2016, where over 300 people were killed, 6,000 arrested, including civilians as well as prominent military leaders and judges. Dr. Özoğlu, Co-Chair of the Middle Eastern Studies Program at UCF, will share his experience and insight being present in Turkey during this historically significant event.
