Sonya Dixon Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
As Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Sonya leads the Finance organization of Orange Lake Resorts, home to the Holiday Inn Club Vacations® brand and one of the fastest-growing companies in the vacation ownership industry. Orange Lake Resorts encompasses 26 resorts and 7,400 villas in the U.S., with more than 340,000 timeshare owners and 6,000+ employees.
Prior to joining Orange Lake Resorts in 2013, Sonya served for six years as principal partner for the company’s financial auditor, Grant Thornton. She possesses more than 17 years of experience in public accounting within the timeshare industry, including 13 years supporting Orange Lake Resorts. While in public accounting, she served as Assistant Audit Practice Leader for Florida for Grant Thornton and previously worked for Arthur Andersen from 1996 through 2002. Sonya has served a variety of industries over her career in public accounting, devoting the majority of her time to clients in the real estate and hospitality industries.
Sonya has been active in the Central Florida community throughout her career. She served as the past chair for the UCF Accounting Advisory Board and is a former member of the board of directors for the SPCA of Central Florida and Make a Wish of Central Florida. Currently, she is a member of the community relations committee at Orange Lake Resorts that is charged with the company’s charitable giving efforts. Sonya is also actively involved in the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) where she serves on several committees supporting the interests of the timeshare industry.
Sonya is a Certified Public Accountant, plus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.
