Contesting Food Injustice in the Neoliberal Era

The UCF Interdisciplinary GIS Speaker Series and Department of Sociology will be hosting Dr. Rina Ghose of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dr. Ghose will explore the discourse on shifting state-civil society relations and scales of governance through inquiries into urban agriculture practices. The presentation will demonstrate how open GIS and web 2.0 can be used to build a Community Information System that assists in creating spatial strategies for community organizations involved in building urban community gardens.
