Mr. Burttram is a founding Principal of Harbinger Capital Advisors LLC, an Orlando, Florida based boutique investment banking and investment firm. The Firm is involved in private equity investment in small to mid-size operating business as well as other opportunistic investments in real estate assets. The Firm’s two largest holdings are PODS Portable on Demand Storage and Buddy’s Home Furnishings. 

Mr. Burttram personally has over 30 years experience in structured debt and capital markets finance. He has structured and placed well over $100 million in capital for real estate and operating ventures and has specific experience with a wide range of asset classes, including seniors housing, office, multi-family, office/warehouse, hospitality, timeshare and storage. Mr. Burttram has worked extensively with commercial paper and structured financing for commercial loans and other financial assets.

Prior to founding Harbinger Capital Advisors in 2006, Mr. Burttram served as Executive Vice President of CNL Capital Corp., where he managed private equity and structured debt related to project development and acquisitions as well as originating the company’s capital markets commercial paper program. Additionally, Mr. Burttram founded a merchant banking company in partnership with West Merchant Bank, a London based subsidiary of West LB, where he was responsible for originating and structuring project and trade finance in emerging market countries worldwide.

 Mr. Burttram currently serves on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee Chairman of two Public Funds focused on investment in manufactured housing communities within the United States. Mr. Burttram is a Board Member of the Historical Society of Central Florida and The Henry Nehrling Historical Society. Additionally, Mr. Burttram is a member of the Capital Campaign Committee for Clemson University Baseball. He has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Orlando and has been active in supporting the YMCA, serving on the planning Board for Team Orlando Diving.

Mr. Burttram earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.

 Mr. Burttram currently resides in Windermere with his wife Roslyn and son Jackson.
