Each month, UCF Global hosts a “Global Café” where international students and scholars come together in community and support of one another. This is an opportunity to build relationships, foster friendships, and get to know your immigration advising staff on a personal level. These are well-attended events which bring together international students and scholars from all around the world, from all degree-levels, and from all academic disciplines.
This month we will hear from the UCF Police Department who will be sharing tips for international students and scholars about how to avoid scams in the United States. Unfortunately, a handful of people in our community fall subject to scams each year – housing scams, financial scams, etc. The UCF Police Department will be sharing some commons strategies of scammers, and how you can protect yourself against being scammed.
