Astronomy Night for Faculty and Families

Friday, February 10, 2017 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Robinson Observatory hosts a permanently-mounted 20-inch telescope with a science-quality CCD camera, as well as several portable 8-inch telescopes. Weather permitting, we will use the big telescope to view various galaxies and stars, and we’ll set up several of the smaller ones with eyepieces to get real-time views of the Moon, Venus, Mars, and the Orion Nebula.

Tour Guide: Dr. Yan Fernandez, Associate Professor, & Director of Robinson Observatory, Department of Physics, College of Sciences.

No RSVP needed.
