EXCHANGE Grant Thornton Series with Emanuel (Manny) Washington Jr.

“Emanuel Washington Jr. is a 10-year Engineer & Paramedic with the City of Orlando at “The Big House” Station 1. Emanuel serves as the Paramedic for the City Of Orlando’s Hazardous Materials Team while serving as the Hazardous Materials Manager for Central Florida’s Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 4. Emanuel has received extensive hazardous material education across the nation such as: National Fire Academy Nevada Nuclear Test Site FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness Dugaway Chemical and Biological Center. As well receiving a degree in Chemistry Education with a minor in Emergency management from the University of Central Florida. In addition to his service for the City of Orlando, Emmanuel is also known as ‘Chef Manny FD’. He has competed on the national television show ‘Cutthroat Kitchen’ and has been cooking for more than a decade. He also serves as the chef of “The Big House” Station 1 in Orlando. Emanuel is currently an instructor for Valencia College Public Safety Program and adjunct instructor with FEMA’s National Fire Academy.”
