Volunteer UCF will partner with the League of Women Voters in a presentation and question/answer session ito create a civic dialogue and support voter education in a non-partisan manner. The League of Women Voters of Orange County will present the 2014 Amendments to the Florida Constitution for the purpose of educating voters to prepare for the November 14 election. In addition, they will share local ballot issues as well as the other candidate offices that will be on the ballot that are specific to Orange County. The amendments we will address include: Amendment 1 – Florida Land and Water, Amendment 2 – Medical Marijuana and Amendment 3 – Judicial Appointments. A question and answer session between the League of Women Voters and the audience regarding voter registration, ballots, and methods of voting also will take place.
Lunch will be provided on a first come, first served basis. An RSVP is not required but it is encouraged. This event does not require volunteers.
