Culture Shock is a talent show competition designed to both showcase organizations/individuals culture and talents as well as organization/individuals being able to compete for the cash prizes - $300 for first place and $100 for second place. There will also be a freestyle battle competition portion where the audience choice will win $50.
The Culture Shock project hopes to unite the UCF campus and Orlando community through a celebration of music and dance in hopes of increasing voter registration among Asian American Pacific Islanders, the group least likely to vote out of all groups in the United States. Culture Shock will bring together various cultures from Asian, African, and Hispanic American culture to showcase their various talents.
We hope to bring together all forms of diversity found here at the University of Central Florida and other schools on a campus wide scale.
