2014 Greater Orlando Heart Walk

Saturday, September 6, 2014 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Heart disease and stroke are the nation's #1 and #4 killers, claiming more than 800,000 lives each year. Help the American Heart Association prevent, treat and defeat these diseases by joining in the 2014 Greater Orlando Heart Walk, which returns to UCF's main campus on Saturday, September 6. Festivities begin at 7am, the walk starts at 8am.

UCF is playing a big role in this year's walk. Our own President John C. Hitt is co-chair for the entire Orlando event with Joe Melbourne of CFE Federal Credit Union, and College of Medicine dean Deborah German is leading our fundraising efforts. Last year, UCF's 623 registered walkers raised a record-setting $46,130, making our university one of the 2013 Heart Walk's TOP 5 fundraising companies. Our goal this year is to be a Top 3 Fundraising Company. We can't do this without you; please register as a walker for this important cause.
