Medical Tourism Talk Featuring Valerie Crooks, Ph.D.

Join us for an evening dedicated to medical tourism and identifying how it can happen in the most safe, equitable and ethical ways. This event features accomplished health geographer, Valerie Crooks, Ph.D. She is an associate professor at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada. She is the newly appointed Canada Research Chair in Health Service Geographies and holds a Scholar Award from the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. Much of her current research is focused on the global health service practice of medical tourism. Hosted by the UCF Department of Health Management and Informatics and UCF College of Health and Public Affairs Alumni Chapter.
