Every October, in conjunction with Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the UCF community honors the lives of domestic violence victims during Light Up The Night. The event, in its 13th year, features personal stories from survivors and lessons learned from professionals in the field.
Hosted by UCF Victim Services, the event aims to remember victims and bring awareness to the dangers of relationship violence and share resources for support. During the program, “An Empty Place at the Table” ceremony will honor people with ties to UCF who have lost their lives due to intimate partner violence.
