The College of Engineering and Computer Science Office of Diversity and Inclusion is gearing up to host its summer camp, Camp Connect I, during the week of July 14-18, 2014 at the University of Central Florida.
Camp Connect I is a computer science/engineering-based camp designed to encourage problem solving, self-efficacy and collaboration in computer science and engineering through hands-on activities, team projects, lab tours, and meet and greet sessions with student, faculty and industry leaders.
One of the goals of Camp Connect I is to create a diverse and inclusive pipeline for future Knights within the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Consequently, Camp Connect I targets rising 8th to 10th graders from underrepresented and underprivileged communities, but it is open to all.
If you are interested in being part of the program as a volunteer or know someone who might be interested in being a participant, please contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion today!
