Join First Year Experience as we host Coach Luma Mufleh for the Common Reading Fall Speaker Event. Luma is the founder of The Fugees, soccer teams made up of young refugees that moved to the small town of Clarkston, GA. Over the years, the teams and program grew, and Fugess Family, Inc. now provides year round soccer, after-school tutoring, an academic enrichment summer camp, and the Fugees Academy- the nation's only school dedicated to refugee education. The Fugees are the subject of the 2016 Common Reading text, Outcasts United. We know attendees will be inspired by Luma and The Fugees story.
