This two-hour seminar is designed for business owners who already have a working knowledge of social media tools.

Provided quarterly, this QuickBooks for Beginners seminar will provide an overview of the QuickBooks software including "getting around" QuickBooks and how to complete the "EasyStep Interview." (This seminar is not a hands-on workshop.) Offered every other month. Taught by a Certified QuickBooks Professional Advisor. Fee: $30
May 30 06:00 pm	Business Plan Writing Made Easy SBDC at UCF Writing a successful business plan requires preparation and, most importantly, getting started. This seminar provides a ‘hands-on approach’ for the serious entrepreneur or business owner who is ready to write that winning business plan. From identifying your target market to financial projections, this seminar will guide you through outlining the key sections of the plan, making the writing process easy. As an option, this seminar will also incorporate step-by-step instructions on effectively utilizing the “Ultimate Business Planner” software at the end of the workshop. Attendees need to bring laptop computer. Seminar fee includes "Ultimate Business Planner" software. This software is not compatible with Apple® Mac computers/laptops. Fee: $30 Software Fee: $20. Participants may also purchase the "Ultimate Business Planner" Software for an additional $20. This is optional.

Jun 6 06:00 pm	Start-Up Basics SBDC at UCF This seminar will help business owners learn the essentials for getting started in business, including: an introduction to business plans and the importance of preparing one; explore the legal forms of business (sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, limited liability corporation) and which one is right for you; and determine the local, state, or federal licensing requirements for the business. This session is guaranteed to take the mystery out of starting a business and help you to be the entrepreneur you always dreamed about.

This workshop will tell you how you can keep your insurance premiums low, how and where you can locate a good insurance agent, what kinds of insurance you need, and if you are required to carry certain types of insurance.
