Florida Renewable Energy Associations ( FREA ) is teaming with our parent organization, American Solar Energy Society (ASES ), to conduct the 20th Annual National Solar Tour exhibiting innovative renewable energy technologies. The ASES National Solar Tour is the largest grassroots solar event in the nation, involving over 160,000 participants and 3,200 solar energy sites.
Nine unique sites will exhibit photovoltaic (solar electric) systems with residential and commercial applications. The systems offer real life examples of how to harness free energy from the sun. Commercial sites are located on the main campus of the University of Central Florida, 12580 Genimi Blvd, Orlando, 32816. and the two residential sites are at 812 Maumee St, and 701 Deerwood Ave, Orlando and the First Green Bank, Winter Park.FREA has teamed with Florida Alliance for Renewable Energy, Florida Solar Energy Industry Association, Ideas-for-US, University of Central Florida and Solar-ray to organize this event.
