31st Annual Lupus Awareness Seminar

Saturday, May 14, 2016 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This event is hosted by the Lupus Foundation of Florida and is free to the public. UCF College of Nursing is a sponsor of the event.

Two doctors from UCF Health will speak at the event: Dr. Weinstein and Dr. Su.

Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs when the immune system attacks the body’s own tissues and organs. Lupus is often a challenge to diagnose because no two cases are alike and the symptoms often mimic those of other ailments. An estimated 1.5 million Americans have lupus. Most are young women of childbearing age, and suffer from such symptoms as intense fatigue and exhaustion, joint pains, thinking and memory problems, and skin rashes.

Register today. Seating is limited. https://sites.google.com/site/lffucfseminar/
