Town Hall Meeting: Preventing Underage Drinking

Wednesday, August 31, 2016 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The University of Central Florida’s Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services invites you to attend a Town Hall Meeting on underage drinking on Wed., Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. in CSEL 121. The event is sponsored by UCF’s Student Health Services, Orange County Government’s Drug Free Coalition and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA).

 

Thousands of college students die each year from alcohol related injuries. Join the conversation on how you can help eliminate underage drinking and other drugs. Current research and best practices in the prevention field will be presented. Dr. Peter DeBenedittis, a renowned speaker on media literacy, will serve as the guest speaker. He has served as a consultant to the White House National Office of Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the National Cancer Institute.
