With so many conflicting reports about vitamins and minerals, it hard to know what ones should take. This session will review the evidence and claims of many popular, but questionably beneficial, supplements such as glucosamine, vitamin E and coenzyme Q10. We’ll also discuss the significant possible side-effects and drug interactions of some of these currently available over-the-counter supplements.
This session will be led by Maria Cannarozzi, M.D., board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Cannarozzi is the Medical Director at UCF Pegasus Health, where she treats patients, and is an associate professor at the UCF College of Medicine.
